This recipe was one of life’s very happy accidents where all the planets aligned! I was shopping for dates and picked up dried figs... now I’ve never been one to cook with figs, ever! I love them savoury but for some reason I’ve never thought to use them as a natural refined sugar free sweetener. That was, until this fateful day!
When life gives you...err figs..you make chocolate, fig & seed slices.
The dried figs add a lovely nutty sweetness and they’re full of so many vitamins and nutrients. They’re an amazing source of fibre & minerals too.
This recipe genuinely takes no time at all to make and is a brilliant after dinner or lunch box treat. Cut into slices, they last for days in an airtight container.
