Welcome the Bounty Bite or Bounty Bliss Balls. I dont even know what to call these little pieces of heaven but I really don’t care because they won’t last too long anyway. It’s treats like these that remind that the healthy doesn’t mean bland! They are utterly divine treats that have a silky, melt-in-the-mouth texture and are so gorgeously light too.
My bemused niece asked me a couple of months back ‘when was I going to stop being sugar free’. This ‘concern’ doesn’t just rest with my niece. It’s a common reaction I get from a lot of people as if in some way it’s a disruptive choice.
If you’ve ever announced on a night out that you’re not drinking, it seems to illicit the same response. You’ll be met with a chorus of ‘go on’ and ‘have a drink’. This is a natural fear reaction and not just a frenemy sabotage of your best endeavours. It’s fear of upsetting the status quo, for example if you decide you’re not eating sugar anymore, it may mean there’ll be no more Friday evening gatherings chilling and munching on bags of Maltesers or that you won’t want to meet for that weekly coffee and cake anymore.
It can also be a fear of exposure. By you making healthy choices and changing that part of your life, it exposes the areas that your friends too might need to improve and they may not be ready to face that yet, so it’s easier to bring you back to the dark side.
Nearly every one who signs up to my 21 Day Sugar Detox Program asks ‘does this mean I won’t be able to eat sugar ever again?’ No, this isn’t what it means. After the program you just won’t crave it anymore. What the program does is breaks the sugar addiction cycle, which frees you from sugar cravings. This enables you to make your own food choices not dictated by sugar cravings or tour addiction to sugar.
It’s not about never eating sugar again. A small amount is fine. The problem is when you’re hooked on sugar, (eating sugary snacks, desserts, ‘treats’ etc on a regular basis), you will be eating more than is healthy for you. It’s so easy to excessively eat sugar without realising. This can lead to many short & long term issues with your health & well-being. . The 21 day program helps to reset your palate & metabolism. When you’ve broken the sugar craving cycle these healthy refined sugar free treats are the perfect, whole food & delicious alternative. You’ll notice how naturally tasty and sweet they are and it’ll be enough to satiate any sweet craving.
